Final Update
Previous Milestone:
As a recap of this proposal we are building an off grid solar enclosure for multi-year deployments of Cardano nodes in remote regions. This guide covers the build and documentation of the enclosure and helpful tools and links for ARM based bare metal Cardano nodes ( Raspberry Pi's, Rock Pi's etc... )
Progress:
There have been some modifications to account for supply chain disruptments as the first step was to finalize materials list and order components. We have finalized this list and used existing hardware to test the full deployment of a Raspberry Pi node and confirm our proof of concept.
Next Steps:
Finalize materials list, order final parts, deploy Node again with updated materials and final enclosure.
Roadblocks:
Awaiting delivery of parts. (Still on time)
Status:
ON TIME

Node Prototype Enclosure with extended pole for long range Point to Point Internet connection. Will be modified in final version
Previous Milestone:
Picking up from our last progress report, we have had to modify some of our materials used in the build (primarily moving away from Unifi SolarMax managed switch) which meant that we were awaiting some parts for the final materials list.
Progress:
Since 3/22 - We have just received all our parts and are testing a modification for deeper data analytics with a dedicated Pi Zero W running a Grafana instance for our node. Benjamin and I are finalizing that deployment this week. This is not critical to the proposal but would provide deeper data with minimal needs and we will mark the materials for that as optional.
Next Steps:
Add Final Materials & Costs to Gitbook
Build & Document final Enclosure
Roadblocks:
None
Status:
ON TIME

A messy desk with all the parts for the build. (Don't worry this will get more organized in documentation) :)
This has not been completed or closed out do to a roadblock during deployment.
